The struggling Siwelele FC will have a chance to redeem themselves and restore confidence from their loyal and vibrant supporters when they face the equally struggling Richard Bay tonight at the Dr Molemela stadium in Bloemfontein. Kick-Off is scheduled for 19:30.
Siwelele have struggled to collect points in their last three games. They have only managed to collect three points out of the possible 12. The green and white boys convincingly won their league opener winning 3-1 against Golden Arrows a month ago in Bloemfontein.
Since then, Lehlohonolo Seema boys have struggled to at least collect a point. They lost 1-0 to the leagues newcomers Orbit College, 1-0 to Polokwane City before they suffered a 2-0 defeat to TS Galaxy last week.
They are currently sitting on position 12 with three points after 4 league games. Just like Siwelele, the Durban rich boys have collected only three points after four league games.
They opened the season with a heavy defeat when they suffered 4-0 to the league defending champions Mamelodi Sundown in the MTN 8. Richard Bay, then lost in a league to Marumo Gallants, Golden Arrows and the on form Kaizer Chiefs respectively. It was on Tuesday when they managed to collect their first three points of the 2025/26 season by narrowly beating Chippa United by 1-0.
Coming home to face a Durban outfit, a more worrying factor for the coach, Seema could surely struggle to find the back of the net. They have not hit the back of the net in the past three games, but today they would have to find a solution to that.
However, the Fifa International break might have come at the right time for the Bloemfontein based outfit as that would give a coach at least two weeks to work with the team and sort out some of the challenges that they are faced with, especially that of scoring goals.
Just after a break, the team will travel to KwaZulu Natal to face the Motsepe championship league champions Durban City at the Chatsworth Stadium on 16 September 2025. Picture Credit – Frikkie Kapp/BackpagePix
