CUT has marked a strategic milestone by launching its first fully online academic programmes
As a traditionally contact-based institution, the Central University of Technology is expanding its reach through technology-enabled learning. This transformation responds to the evolving needs of students, industry demands, and the growing importance of flexible, future-ready education.
The initial suite of fully online programmes includes the Advanced Diploma in Human Resources Management, the Advanced Diploma in Health Management and the Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology. You will find full details here, https://www.online.cut.ac.za/
CUT Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Prof. Pamela Dube stated that the launch signals the university’s unwavering commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our society, while removing barriers to education through reaching students where they are in their homes, workplaces, and communities.
The success of this launch is the result of dedicated teamwork. Special appreciation was extended to Prof. David Phatha Ngidi, DVC: Teaching and Learning, the faculty deans, and colleagues from CUT and HEPA, whose commitment and collaboration helped drive this project from its inception to successful completion.
The introduction of these online programmes underscores CUT’s vision to lead in educational innovation, rooted in a commitment to Thinking Beyond traditional models, academic rigour, inclusivity, and relevance.
