{"id":1202,"date":"2026-08-26T12:45:31","date_gmt":"2026-08-26T12:45:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ecmessenger.co.za\/?p=1202"},"modified":"2026-08-26T12:45:31","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T12:45:31","slug":"ec-legislature-hosts-womens-parliament","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ecmessenger.co.za\/index.php\/2026\/08\/26\/ec-legislature-hosts-womens-parliament\/","title":{"rendered":"EC Legislature Hosts Women&#8217;s Parliament"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bhisho<\/p>\n<p>The Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature will host a Women\u2019s Parliament on Friday, 28 August 2026 in Bhisho, under the theme: \u201cFrom the Dompass to Power: Marching On to Sustainable Women\u2019s Emancipation on the 70th Anniversary of the 1956 Women\u2019s March and the 72nd Commemoration of the 1954 Women\u2019s Charter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This Sectoral Parliament is a platform created by the Legislature to promote public participation and empower women to engage directly with policymakers on issues affecting their lives.
