Alfred Nzo Development Agency (ANDA) held an induction session as part of the orientation of the new board members (Mr. GG Mpumza & Mr. ZD Qunya) and the CEO, Mr. Lumko Mtimde. The purpose of this session was to ensure they are fully equipped, well informed and aligned with the ANDA\u2019s mission, values, and operations from the start of their leadership or governance role.<\/p>\n

The induction shared rich information, including from the shareholder (ANDM). The Acting Executive Mayor of the day, Cllr. Banele Qwayede presented the expectations of the district as the shareholder of the entity.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe District Municipality expects a strong focus on the following key performance areas:
\n* Alignment with municipal strategic objectives, particularly those outlined in the IDP.
\n* Effective implementation of high-impact, job-creating development projects.
\n* Promotion of inclusive economic growth and rural development.
\n* Strengthening the institutional and financial sustainability of the Agency.
\n* Accountability, transparency, and sound corporate governance in all operations.<\/p>\n
She further encouraged the Board and Management to build a high-performance, results-driven culture within the Agency.<\/p>\n
The session was attended by the Matatiele Mayor Cllr. Patrick Stuurman & Cllr. Jona from Umzimvubu Local Municipality, Auditor General South Africa, primary stakeholders like Provincial Treasury, DEDEAT, ECRDA, ECSECC, SALGA, etc.<\/p>\n
ANDA also held its Annual General Meeting with its Sole Shareholder, the ANDM. The AGM is a key government mechanism that ensures, transparency, accountability and participation of the board in decision making and oversight of the agency.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
