The Executive Mayor of Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, Cllr Babalwa Lobishe, joined hands with the Alex Matikinca Cluster and community members today in a powerful picket outside the Motherwell Magistrate’s Court in support of the #JusticeForLithaliyanda campaign.
The demonstration was a call for accountability and justice in the case of young Lithaliyanda, whose tragic passing has sparked widespread outrage and sorrow across the Bay. The Mayor expressed her solidarity with the family and the community, reaffirming her commitment to fighting against all forms of violence and injustice affecting the city’s most vulnerable.
“This is not just about one child, it’s about all our children. We will continue to raise our voices until justice is served,” stated Mayor Lobishe.
