The EC Provincial Legislature Portfolio Committee on Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) will embark on oversight visit programme to O.R Tambo and Amathole District Municipalities tomorrow following adverse weather conditions that have caused havoc in the two districts. The oversight visit aims to evaluate the impact of government intervention and support provided to the flood victims.
The Committee will meet with key stakeholders including Executive Mayors from O.R Tambo and Amathole District municipalities, KSD and Mnquma Local Municipalities, Mayoral Committee Members, Provincial and Local Government Senior Officials and will also have engagements with families affected by the floods in identified sites that will be visited.
The programme is scheduled as follows: Date: Tuesday, 15 July 2025, Time: 10h00 – 15h30, Venues: KSD Council Chambers and Mnquma Council Chambe
