The Committee of the Whole House of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature will this week embark on follow-up oversight visits to various schools across the province from Tuesday, 22- 25 July 2025. The focus of the visits is to assess progress made by the Department of Education in implementing House Resolutions following schools’ visits conducted by the committee in January this year.
The resolutions were designed to provide schools with the necessary support to improve student outcomes and create a more effective learning environment.
The follow-up visits emanate from the legislatures’ commitment to accountability and continuous improvement in the education sector. The programme will commence with stakeholder engagements which will include community representatives, SGBs and labour organisations.
