The EC Provincial Legislature Social Needs Cluster is embarking on oversight visits across the province this week assessing service delivery related projects of the departments they oversee. The Cluster is comprising five Portfolio Committees, Education, Health, Human Settlements & Public Works & Infrastructure, Social Development and Sports, Arts & Culture and Community Safety.
The programme will enable the Legislature to ascertain whether the funds that were voted by the Departments are utilized for the intended purposes. The committees will also meet with key stakeholders in various areas focusing on the impact of the identified projects.
Amongst the notable projects to be visited includes:
- Qhurhu Clinic & Amahleke Clinic in Dimbaza (Wed 17 Sept 2025)
- Notyatyambo Community health centre in Mdantsane (Thurs 18 Sept 2025)
- Gqeberha – Walmer MTR Smit CYCC (Wed 17 Sept 2025)
- Potsdam Clinic and Mncontsho Clinic (Friday 19 Sept 2025)
