In a statement Eastern Cape MEC for Transport, Mr Xolile Nqatha said, “the bridge will restore dignity to the community by providing a safe and reliable means of crossing the river, reducing the risks associated with treacherous river crossing.”
The construction of 19 Bailey Bridges across the province highlights the government’s efforts to address infrastructure challenges in rural areas and promote economic development.
